The TURKSAT 6A Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) SCOE has been delivered  this week to its customer TÜBİTAK UZAY in Ankara, Turkey, following a successful Factory Acceptance Test Review (FATR) in November. The shipment is among the biggest single shipments Rovsing has performed with 13x rack containers, 8x harness and accessories containers and 2 Euro pallets, amounting to more than 8.5 metric tons of equipment.

The EPS EGSE provides a test suite of hardware and software for supporting satellite assembly, integration and verification by means of Solar Array simulation, Deployment simulation, Battery simulation and conditioning, Load simulation and Umbilical launch support. The EGSE will provide the customer with a full range of ground support testing and simulation based on Rovsing key products such as the RO-5100 SAS Module, R0-1010 and RO-1100 SLP Modules, RO-2000 range MASC products as well as the Rovsing EGSE Controller SW Suite.

The TURKSAT 6A Communication satellite programme is Turkey’s first fully indigenous communication satellite project. TÜBİTAK UZAY, with its partners is responsible for the development and realization of the T6A satellite.
