The Kick-Off (KO) meeting for the supply of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) to SITAEL S.p.A in Italy, was concluded successfully last Tuesday, following contract award in November. SITAEL is the largest privately-owned Space Company in Italy and worldwide leader in the Small Satellites sector. SITAEL covers a wide range of activities in development of small satellite platforms, advanced propulsion systems and onboard avionics, providing turn-key solutions for Earth observation, telecom and science.  

Rovsing will deliver 2x Umbilical SCOE(s), 1x MiniCOTE as well as SAS+SLP equipment, which SITAEL will use for the Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) of the ASI PLATiNO 1 & 2 missions. The deliveries from Rovsing will take place already in 2022.

The UMB SCOE(s), MiniCOTE & SAS+SLP equipment provides a test suite of hardware and software for supporting assembly, integration and verification by means of Solar Array simulation, discrete signal simulation, Umbilical & launch support. The EGSE(s) will provide the customer with a range of ground support testing and simulation based on Rovsing key products such as the RO-5100 SAS Module, R0-1010 and RO-1130 SLP Modules, RO-2000 range MASC products as well as the Rovsing EGSE Controller SW Suite.
