Sales Engineer for Space Projects

Rovsing, a leading provider of state-of-the-art test and simulation systems for ground testing of satellites to customers primarily in Europe and USA. These systems enable a satellite manufacturer to test existing parts of a satellite and simulate non-existing parts during their development, assembly, integration and test.

Due to increased activity and change to our organization, Rovsing is recruiting a Sales Engineer to drive the acquisition of new prospects on the worldwide space market. Proposal preparation, management and support will be the main responsibility of the Sales Engineer, besides supporting the Management in general sales acquisition activities like company visits and market research.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Answering and preparation of competitive proposals for the space industry and other markets.
  • Work together with several teams of Rovsing to build up competitive proposals and align with internal strategies.
  • Support contract negotiations with technical inputs and scoping
  • Support the product development and innovation of Rovsing to better understand the market needs, technology trends and competition analysis.
  • Prepare and perform technical company presentations with Rovsing’s unique technical advantages either on-site or virtually.

About you:

  • University degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent.
  • Experience in analysing, designing and implementing efficient solutions in response to customer specifications.
  • Experience with (technical) proposal writing, preferably in the space market or similar high-tech markets is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with technical customer communication in a B2B environment.
  • Fully proficient in English.
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills a must.
  • Structured, proactive, energetic and interested in using a broad range of competences.
  • Takes responsibility for your own work and the overall results.
  • Thriving doing business with international customers and the associated traveling activities.
